Hi, I’m Andrew M. Vasquez.
I’m the Founder and Principal Consultant of AMV Consulting.
My career has been shaped by work across higher education leadership, institutional operations, enrollment management, partnership development, student success, and program execution. I have worked within large public universities and private higher education, supporting initiatives that required people from different areas to collaborate around shared institutional priorities.
I created AMV Consulting as a way to bring those experiences together and help organizations and professionals approach complex work with greater clarity, structure, and confidence.
Experience Behind AMV
My professional journey has included leadership and operational roles at The University of Texas at San Antonio, The University of Texas at Austin, Texas State University, and the University of Massachusetts Global.
Across these institutions, I have led teams, supported students and professionals, managed partnerships, strengthened governance, developed operating processes, and coordinated initiatives involving academic leaders, faculty, administrators, external organizations, and community stakeholders.
The Perspective I Bring
I believe effective leadership requires both vision and an honest understanding of how work is experienced by the people responsible for carrying it forward.
My perspective is shaped by years spent working across organizational levels, supporting diverse stakeholders, and navigating institutions where important goals must compete for limited time, attention, and capacity.
AMV Consulting reflects that perspective: thoughtful, practical, human-centered, and grounded in the realities of organizational life.
Education & Professional Engagement
I hold a Master of Public Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Administration and Leadership from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
I am currently completing an Executive Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership at The University of Texas at Austin. My professional credentials include the Program Management Professional (PgMP), Project Management Professional (PMP), and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designations.
I also serve as Opportunities Outreach Chair for the Project Management Institute Austin Chapter and publish AMV Insights, where I explore higher education leadership, organizational systems, partnership governance, workforce development, and the work of turning institutional priorities into sustainable action.
Let’s build momentum together.
